Adam N. Subervi, candidate for Bernards Township Committee, is a 10-year resident of Bernards Township. A licensed attorney for over 23 years, Adam is a graduate of Seton Hall University and Rutgers School of Law.
Adam began his career on active duty as an officer and judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps. He deployed to Iraq with the I-Marine Expeditionary Force during the Iraq War, where he led a civil affairs team and served as the imbedded judge advocate to an infantry battalion.
In 2005, Adam transitioned from active duty to the Marine Corps Reserve, where he continues to serve to the present day as a Colonel and Senior Reserve Trial Judge.
In his civilian career, Adam currently serves as in-house counsel to a leading healthcare company, where his practice focuses on compliance and internal investigations.
From 2010-2017, Adam served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of New Jersey, where he led investigations and prosecutions of individuals and organizations involved in a myriad of federal crimes, including white collar crime, violent crime, gangs, organized crime, narcotics trafficking and child exploitation.
From 2009-2010, Adam served as Deputy Attorney General and Special Assistant to the New Jersey Attorney General, responsible for advising the Attorney General on matters relating to public safety, law enforcement and internet safety. During that time, Adam also personally prosecuted gang shootings in some of the State’s most violent areas.
Adam has served as an adjunct professor in the Justice Studies Department at Montclair State University, and Kean University, and has been active in the Federal Bar Association and Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, having served as a guest speaker and mentor on numerous occasions. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the United War Veterans Council of New York, a non-profit organization focused on raising awareness, advocating on behalf of veterans, promoting the health and welfare of veterans, and hosting the annual New York City Veterans Day Parade, the largest celebration of service in the country. He is a former law clerk to the Honorable Dickinson R. Debevoise, United States District Judge, District of New Jersey.
Adam has been married for over 23 years. His wife, a career educator, currently serves as the principal of a middle school. He has four sons, one adult son who resides in New Hampshire, one currently in college and two presently enrolled in Bernards Township schools. In his free time, Adam enjoys spending time with family, playing guitar, running and working out.
