Dandiya 2019

September 28, 2019

I feel truly privileged to have participated in BRIC – Basking Ridge Indian Community’s annual Dandiya celebration.

Dandiya Raas is a traditional folk dance that demonstrates the slaughter of the demon Mahishasur by goddess Durga. Choreographed dances, music, and beautiful, elaborate dresses and kedias are an essential to the celebration.

Thank you to the warm, welcoming people of BRIC for a spectacular time! You are truly an asset to our community.
