Making A Difference: Somerset County Food Bank

November 7, 2025

The Food Bank of Somerset County is currently focused on emergency planning for the pressing SNAP crisis. They are working closely with Somerset County leadership, as well as the County Office of Emergency Management, and are planning for a drive-through distribution on 15-16 November at the County facility at 411 Chimney Rock Rd., Bridgewater.

In order to help facilitate this effort, the Food Bank leadership has authorized the expenditure of up to $100,000 in emergency food purchases; this is unbudgeted, so the Food Bank is asking the community to step forward and help put these funds back into our “rainy day” funds.  Please consider donating to support to this important cause and provide relief to those experiencing food insecurity in our community.
