A Powerful Force and Breath of Fresh Air for Bernards Township Committee

October 28, 2023

As a local nonprofit leader, I am very interested in supporting civic-minded individuals who have generously given back to our community. I believe that those who serve without concern for personal gain, and are there for others regardless of political affiliation, are exactly the people who should be representing us in local government roles.

The McCarthy/Wong team would be a powerful force and a breath of fresh air for the Bernards Township Committee.

Ana McCarthy has been my close friend for 20 years. During that time, she has been a leader in the corporate world, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, a community leader, and one of the best people I know! In her role as a convener, she recently recruited me to join the Plainfield YMCA board as she winds down a decade of volunteer service as a board member at the Y. Her commitment to supporting local organizations is just one of the many reasons she would make an excellent liaison between residents and our local government.

I recently had the pleasure of getting to know Lily Wong, and she shares many of the same attributes that make Ana such a qualified candidate. Most impressive to me is Lily’s willingness to jump right into nonprofit and civic work in a community that is brand new to her. She certainly has not wasted any time becoming a pillar of our community.

Both candidates have done a yeoman’s job of canvassing and extending community outreach to show their commitment to hearing all of our voices throughout their campaign. We need more of this from our political leaders!

Whatever your political affiliation, please consider voting for the McCarthy/Wong ticket. I am certain that these two talented and dedicated women will not disappoint!
